Uganda and Tanzania Africa Vacation - East Africa Holiday

Day 1:Entebbe – Ngamba Island Chimpanzee
Airport pick and transfer by our driver guide to your Hotel (your flight should be arriving in Entebbe in the morning for this itinerary to work). After lunch you will take a boat ride on Lake Victoria to Ngamba Island Chimpanzee Sanctuary arriving in time for chimpanzee feeding. A guide will brief you on what takes place at the sanctuary. You can enjoy views of a neighboring fishing village and expect to see incredible birdlife and other wildlife. Return to Entebbe for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park
After your breakfast, your guide will pick you from the hotel and set off by road to Lake Mburo National park approximately 5 hours drive from Entebbe, have a stop over to look at the Royal Drum makers, and then the Equator and thereafter you continue to Lake Mburo National Park, game drive as you enter the Park arriving at your accommodation in the afternoon. After lunch, you may decide to go for a boat trip or relax in your room. Lake Mburo is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains with big herds of Zebra, Impala, Eland and other savanna species. For birders, this is one of the best places to find African Fin foot, Papyrus, Bush Shrike among others.

Day 3: Travel to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After breakfast, proceed to Bwindi passing through Kabale the Switzerland of Uganda with beautiful scenery and terraced gardens arriving in Bwindi Forest in the afternoon. Best known for its Mountain Gorillas, the Montane Forest also attracts spectacular birds. You may decide to relax in the afternoon or take a nature walk which will lead you to the Munyaga Waterfall and a chance to see primates such as the Grey Cheeked Mangabey Blue Monkeys and others species.

Day 4: First Gorilla Tracking adventure in Bwindi Forest National Park
today you will have your breakfast very early in the morning ready to embark on your gorilla tracking adventure. This gorilla tracking adventure will start with a briefing from the park guides on how to behave and handle these gentle giants. The rain forest offers spectacular, dramatic, heavily forested and dense landscape crisscrossed by numerous animal trails. Given the fact that gorilla tracking is unpredictable, it is difficult to know how many hours you will actually hike. The adventure of tracking the gorillas in the superb ecosystem of the park will be passionate for the adventurers. It may take 2 to 8 hours or more and one should be prepared to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. "The excitement of seeing the gorillas makes the trip worthwhile!”

Day 5: Second Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Forest/ Depart for Queen Elizabeth NP
After breakfast, go for another gorilla trek or take a nature walk into the forest to view various flora and fauna species. Get back for lunch and then depart the Impenetrable Forest for Queen Elizabeth National park to Ishasha sector famous for its mysterious tree climbing Lions arriving in the evening.

Day 6: Morning Game drive in Ishasha then depart for the northern Sector of Queen Elizabeth park
You will have a really early breakfast then set off for a game drive in the Ishasha plains to look for the tree climbing lions and other wildlife. Continue to the northern sector of the park arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon go for the launch trip along the Kazinga Channel.

Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking in Kyambura Gorge and game drive
Have an early breakfast and then go for Chimp tracking, drive to the crater lakes in Kyambura Game Reserve to see thousands of colourful Lesser Flamingoes, as they feed in these soda lakes.
In the evening game drive to the Kasenyi Kob mating ground area to look for Lion prides and other wildlife like the Uganda Kob that mate around this area.

Day 8: Drive to Entebbe then fly to Tanzania
Return to Entebbe with a stopover for lunch in Mbarara. Enroute, stopover at the equator for photographic opprtunities and the Mpambire drum makers in Mpigi, a chance to buy yourself a locally made drum.
Continue to Entebbe to connect with your flight to Tanzania.

Day 9: Depart for Lake Manyara National Park
Depart for Lake Manyara National Park arriving in time for lunch. Go for an afternoon game drive in this very beautiful park with magnificent views of the valley and the lake.
Dinner and overnight at Lake Manyara Serena Lodge.

Day 10: Game Viewing in Serengeti National Park
Past breakfast, proceed to Serengeti National Park through Olduvai Gorge an archeological site with game viewing en route. Carry packed Lunch. After lunch, go for an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge/ Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Day 11: Game Drives in Serengeti National Park
Have your breakfast and prepare to spend the day at Serengeti National Park with morning and afternoon game drives. Have a lunch break at the lodge and then continue exploring this large park, which is enjoined to the Masai Mara.
Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Serena Lodge/ Seronera Wildlife Lodge.

Day 12: Leave for Ngorongoro National Park
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro Crater one of the natural wonders of the world, home to hundreds and thousands of plain animals. You will arrive in time for lunch after which go for an afternoon game drive in the crater.

Day 13: Safari Game Drives in Ngorongoro National Park
After an early breakfast, go for a fascinating game drive down the Ngorongoro Crater. Enjoy the classic experience of a safari game drive on the floor of this scenic crater, the world’s largest caldera. Have a picnic lunch before retiring to your accommodation..
Dinner and overnight at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge/Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.

Day 14: Transfer to Arusha National Park
Have a leisurely breakfast before driving back to Arusha arriving in time for lunch.
